This has nothing to do with "housing" The dealers can sell freely on the streets and the users can use in public...these people don't wan't to be inside or have rules. $290 a month on EBT or more, $220 in cash, endless free food, clothing, etc Every shelter or home SHOULD have a breathalyzer for entrance.
This is why i don't like voting for more taxes. We get taxed enough, use our tax dollars more efficiently. Doesn't make sense to give the State more money to waste. Once the state can PROVE they are using every tax payer's dollar as efficiently as possible, and we see those benefits, then I will vote for more taxes if needed.
A lot of the homeless need mental health and addiction services as they aren’t rational enough to take steps to get better … those who are rational have many options

Calling it a waste of taxpayer dollars is dumb logic. It's no more a waste of taxpayer dollars than hospital beds going unused-or a firetruck or police car sitting unused at a police station. That being said, "Homeless shelters are not designed to be permanent solutions to homelessness -- so if there is a proposal to use the taxpayer money In the service of permanent housing ... or changing the conditions in this country that lead to mass homelessness--- the that might be beneficial.

really need to find out what laws are allowing homeless to stay on streets. we understand it's a housing crisis and it shouldn't be criminally charged but when you're waving your hands, you're shouting and screaming or acting like you're on drugs you can't let people witness that and think it's OK. our laws need to be updated.
The only way we can truly saw the homeless crisis is start in the home with children. A lot of these homeless people that don’t want to stay in the shelter and mainly because of drugs now what caused these people to do drugs in the first place more than likely a broken home if we can have less broken homes by providing more affordable housing and more supports for families there’s probably Going to be less drug use, therefore less homeless people and especially less homeless people on the actual streets. This will take time.
Why or they only in LA County what about San Bernardino, Orange and other Counties? Many in LA, don't because they don't know about them. Why not buy the units from the landlords, and put families in the units based on how much they can afford? And if the adults aren't working they, must work either watching the working adults kids, cooking, cleaning up the area?
Wasted taxpayer money? Say it ain’t so
Everyone knows you can’t do drugs at the shelter.. that’s a no brainer 😂
San Bernardino homeless encampments continue to grow while homeless shelters are unfilled
It needs to stop…if you don’t work why am I paying for your housing 😏🇺🇸
KAREN BASS! 24billion unaccounted for in CA 💯

Who cares your gas tax is going up.
The industrial homeless scam continues
Why not say “3/4 shelter beds are being used, thanks to taxpayers!”
i think 3/4 is pretty good, the media just wants to feed people bad news to incite negative emotions
218 Million dollars in Taxpayer dollars lost is insane! They should be shutdown.

Mental Healthless, not homeless
Too many incentives to remain homeless.

Used to work at homeless shelter as a security guard. These people don’t want to be saved. They are living as homeless people in a room haha.
This sucks but also some of the homeless people don't want to follow rules so they rather live on the streets.
Long as State pays for it, I don't care. I am in Texas.
But if they taking homeless that means they actually have to do their jobs for the money they receive?
Can we sure Gavin for this?? He just bought a 9,000,000$ new house

Not surprising
Because you can't force the homeless into shelters. Most refuse because it means not being able to do drugs and having to follow rules.
Pay to play
Ummmm
Most addicted people don’t want the help. ………….too many rules.
